News from Deadline Team



Hello, you probably noticed that for a long time we haven‘t written any news from racing world, but this was because we were on summer holiday, however summer ended and cold, murky winter evenings are coming, when we again, little by little getting into racing tracks. We already participated in annual 16 hours race hosted by RacingMinds team, we also participated in a 1st round of GTAL competition, but about this we‘ll tell later. On the holiday time there were some changes in our team, Aidas Staškevičius and Jonas Bakšys have left the team, also but not for a long time Klaidas Gasiūnas joined us, he helped us in 16 hours race. Even if there‘s only 5 members left in our team, we‘re still strong and looking forward to participate in various tournaments and events.


Report from GTAL Round 1 at Kyoto National Reversed



So, just yesterday was the opening of a 3rd GTAL season, unfortunately it wasn‘t successful for our team. By the 2nd session qualification last year scenario repeated, we forgot to put on GTAL skin, for that reason we lost our fastest qualification lap, the only relief was that the difference between fastest laps wasn‘t so big, we lost only 2 positions. In the final qualification results we were 14th. Race start was very painful, in the first lap, after Safety Car lap, was a lag crash, after this incident we fell down to last place. After 8 laps we were running in 21st place, but to Modestas Runas, who was driving at that moment, fps got low immediately. For this reason he had to stop in order not to make incident. Everything further went well, but at the end of a first hour we were worrying about tires condition, for that reason we decided to do some setup corrections by the pit stop, but we didn‘t knew that setup changes require damage repair, we spent 24 seconds more then doing usual pitstop. When we came out from the pits we were a bit disappointed because we fell very lowly. Driving further was really difficult, it was hard to concentrate. At the end of a second hour we climbed up to 16th place, but to climb higher was really hard because the difference between cars in front of us was very big. When Povilas Klimanskas tookover the car, Modestas Runas wanted to save race replay, but sadly he entered replay title into „Enter message“ window. Soon we got DRIVE-THROUGH PENALTY, we lost about 20 seconds and fell down to 19th place. First half of last hour went well, but again we faced an incident because of lag, after which the car was spinned. We haven‘t lost any positions, but The Danish Racing Team started to breath into our back, but we were able to stand against them. When there was left only few minutes to the race finish, safety car came into the track. Race ended up by the safety car phase. We finished in 15th place. For us this race was worst in a whole GTAL history, but we hope that in other rounds we will finish in better positions.


Report from 16 hours race at Fern Bay Black Reversed



Just like the last year, this year we chose to drive with FZR GT2 car, only this year it went much better. In the race participated Domas Raižys, Klaidas Gasiūnas, Modestas Runas and Povilas Klimanskas. We started in the first server from 4th position in our class. Race start was fluent and it continued for 6 hours, by that time we got close to 3rd position, but unfortunately then we made some rough mistakes and as a result we lost some positions, after that everything proceeded inconstantly, we tried to regain lost positions, but we couldn‘t evade mistakes, after some time we succeeded to regain 1 position, we drove in the 5th place, reaching 4th was desperate for us, but ev0»Racing GT2 team broke the allowed number of drivers participating in race, in that case we finished 4th.
